Cul-de-Sac of fire 2015

We are starting preparations for this year's party.
We hope that you are looking forward to it and ready to have fun.
This year we are going to try something a little different.  We will be eliminating the BBQ portion of the night and will just be sharing treats.  We will have the snow cones and nachos, so if you would like to bring something to share please do.
But otherwise, bring your family, your lawn chair, a blanket and a treat to share and come join us.

The party will be:
July 25th
7:30 pm
Johnson Ridge Cir.

Please remember that we cannot do such a big firework display without your help.  It is not required to attend, but if you would like to help, please either make donations here on this site, by clicking on the donation tab, or bringing something by either the Evans' house or the Bee's house before July 23rd.  Because most stands close down after the 24th, we will be purchasing the fireworks on the 23rd.

Thanks so much!!!
And we hope to see you there!

Cul-De-Sac of fire 2014

I forgot to post the date!!!
Yikes!

Saturday, July 26th

10th Annual Cul-de-sac of fire!

The time is near!
This year's Cul-de-sac of fire is right around the corner!

Please come join us once again for a fun evening.

We will light the grills at 7pm.
If you would like to cook plan on that time, but remember to bring your own meat.

Also bring a dish to share....a salad, a dessert, or anything else you find yummy!
We will have water, utensils, and plates out.  We will also have Nacho's  just before showtime, and popcorn for the movie.

We will also try to resurrect the candy cannon and the snowcone machine.  Cross your fingers that a year in the garage hasn't disabled them.

The show will start at dark, but before then enjoy spending the evening with your neighbors and friends.

This year, if you are interested in sitting in with the band, please let us know.  We've decided that we have spent a lot of money on our children and their musical talents, and we are hoping that they will entertain us musically that night.  We will also have music tracks that play in between.  But if you would like to join in with the kids you are welcome to.  Hopefully we will find that we have bred the 2nd generation of the cul-de-sac of fire band.

If you are interested in contributing to the show, you can do so by clicking on the "donate" button on the right or drop off donations to the Evans or Bee's home.   You are also welcome to bring LEGAL fireworks that night, but please avoid aerials.  We are once again going to go old school for the safety of all in attendance.   Those aerials are just to unpredictable with 200 people surrounding them.
 THANKS FOR UNDERSTANDING!!!

Thanks so much and
We hope to see you all there next week!!

9th Annual Cul-de-Sac of FIRE!

Wow Blogger has changed a bit since last year. It took me a bit to figure out how to sign in and post this.

We do want you to know however, that this year's CUL-DE-SAC of FIRE is in the works.   We have planned it for

Saturday, JULY 27th,  7:00 pm

The line up of events are just about the same as every year.

Grills will be going at 7 for any of you who would like to grill some food that night.
We will provide condiments for any burgers or hot dogs you bring.
We will also have tables out for those who would like to bring a salad or treat to share that night.

We will as usual have the snow cone machine going strong with lots of snowies for anyone who wants them.
At dark we will have nachos for all, and glow necklaces for the kiddos.

The band will be back this year and be playing all of your favorites (from the 70's and 80's) and if we talk really nice we may be able to convince the next generation of the cul-de-sac of fire band to sit in a song or two.    After all, we are spending a fortune on all of these guitar and drum lessons....they have to start earning their keep.  ha,ha.

This year for entertainment for the kids we are going to try our hand at giant bubbles.  We will see if this works out.  Keep your fingers crossed.   And of course we will have the candy cannon back to pelt all of the little kids with taffy.

Please bring your lawn chairs, and blankets...your family and friends....and something eatable to share.

We are taking donations now either here on this page (by clicking the donate button on the right)  or drop them by the Bee's or the Evans' houses.  We cannot possibly do all of this without your help.    The donations go completely toward purchasing FIREWORKS.

We are making ONE request this year about fireworks.   We are asking for only GROUND fireworks this year.  After last year's scary display, and last night (for the 4th) we had an aerial MALFUNCTION and shoot every direction around the cul-de-sac (out the sides of the box).  We have decided for the FUN and SAFETY of all in attendance we want to go back to our OLD SCHOOL way of doing things and shoot only GROUND fireworks.  I hope you all understand and if purchasing and bringing your own fireworks, please keep our feelings in view.  I know the AERIALS make the show more "EXCITING"  but we are ok not to reach our target heart rate DURING the show.  We PROMISE to still deliver a great show.  We just don't want to visit a burn unit that night.   If  our malfunctioning firework from last night would have happened during the party, it is a guarantee that we would have had to call an ambulance.

Thanks BUNCHES!!! and we look forward to seeing you on the 27th

THANK YOU!!!

Thank you to all!!!
From the bottom of our hearts.
We really love that you all came, and hopefully had a great time with us.

We apologize that the fireworks were a little crazy this year.   It was the first year that we have had technical difficulties, and gratefully no one was seriously injured. :-)

That being said, we hope that you all had fun!

Thank you to all of you who contributed to the fireworks show.  We had so much support and participation, and that led to a fabulous show.

It has been a fantastic party for 8 years, and we look forward to many more.

Most of all, we just want to tell you all THANK YOU!

This Saturday!!!

Be sure to join us Saturday for the party.

We haven't been fabulously successful in getting flyer's to every house in the neighborhood.  We will be out again tonight, hoping to finish up the task  (the last few weeks have been crazy...our apologies!)

But even if you have not received a personal invitation, consider this one.  We would love to have you there.

Please grab your family, your friends, and your neighbors and come enjoy a fun night with all.  We will be starting the grills about 7pm and it will go from there.  See the tentative schedule in the post below.

We will be purchasing fireworks on Saturday morning, so if you have desires to donate towards that, please get all donations to us prior to Saturday morning (ok, those of you who know us well, know our morning starts about noon....so before Saturday at noon, but don't laugh if we are all still in our jammies!!)    It should be a great show and a fun party.

BTW, we hope to be out in the circle testing the Candy Cannon this evening, so if you want to send your children up, they can get a small sneak peek.

Thanks in advance!  We couldn't do this fun party without all of you (or it wouldn't be any fun).  We hope to see you Saturday!

8th Annual Cul-de-Sac of Fire!

The date has been set!!
Set aside Saturday, July 21st
for the 8th year of our
Cul-De-Sac of Fire!

I can't believe that it's been 8 years, but even more, I can't believe that we didn't post any pictures from last year's party.  We are major slackers.

The band will be back this year, and a few of our children have been working hard to be able to sit in with them this year.  We are trying hard to raise the next generation of the Cul-de-sac garage band.  If you have any musical abilities and would like to sit in on a song or two, just let Greg Bee know and he will work it out.

As usual, we will be turning on the grills at 7pm for those of you who would like to BBQ.  We will provide condiments, and water, lemonaid and most possibly the homemade rootbeer again this year.

There will be unlimited snowcones available, as well as nachos, at firework time, and popcorn for the movie.

So as usual, bring your FAMILY, your LAWN CHAIR, and a treat or salad for the pot luck and join us for a fabulous night.

Timing will be approximately:
7pm:  BBQ's lit, let the eating begin
8pmish:  Kid friendly games - yet to be determined (we are not going to be launching rockets this year, we're going to try something different)
Random times between 7pm and dark:  Candy Cannon
9:30ish:  Fireworks begin
10:00ish: Movie begins - this year we will be showing The Muppet Movie (unless anyone else has any other suggestions)

We will also be collecting once again for those of you who would like to contribute to the show.   You are welcome to donate to fireworks by clicking on the donate button on the right, as well as dropping money by the Evans or the Bee's homes.
You can also bring LEGAL fireworks that night if you would like.   Remember, the more contributions we get the better the show.   If you remember last year's show, it was fantastic.  But we couldn't have done it on our own.    Thanks in advance for those of you who add to this fun night!
